“Letter of Appointment to Koichiro KIHARA”

The Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries has appointed persons who lead the implementation of the sixth sector industrialization as Voluntary Planners being present close to agriculture, forestry and fishermen and has established a nationwide support system for promoting the sixth sector industrialization. Our managing director Koichiro KIHARA is the first mechanical engineer in Japan appointed as a Voluntary Planner and has been continuing to contribute to the regional revitalization through the provision of technology and knowledge to people engaged in agriculture, forestry and fishery in our region.

Overview of Voluntary Planner

1)Criteria to Appointment: The Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries thoroughly examines the candidates who have the following records, makes the selection, and the minister makes the appointment.

① Results of efforts related to sixth sector industrialization

(* Agriculture, forestry and fisheries, processing/distribution, restaurants, tourism, etc.)

② Networking ability to connect stakeholders

③ Information dissemination ability

2)Activities

① Advising business entities at workshops held by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, etc.

② Disseminating information by own activities and with various media
